Our team is always on the lookout for businesses or individuals making a difference in the community: the innovators, the change agent, the hungry entrepreneur, the idealist that just won't accept the status quo and works tirelessly to improve the world.

What is a Local Planet Business, you ask? How do they show commitment to their community and our planet, what kinds of actions do they take? Turns out, they're quite diverse and multi-faceted.

Social Responsibility: Do you support a non-profit youth organization? Maybe your business helps education or enrichment programs. Some businesses support the arts, others encourage their employees to engage in civic organizations.

Environmental: What do you do to lower your impact on our environment? Do you have a robust recycling or composting program? Many businesses consider the environment in packaging and building decisions. Still others have have practices that conserve energy and water.

Try as we might, we can't be everywhere and it's safe to assume that there's plenty of good things happening that may have slipped through the cracks. We don't want that to happen either. So, if you know of folks doing good in your hood, please help them - and us all - by sharing their story.
